We install a complex drain system that leads to a sump pump with a discharge line to catch water, direct it to a sump pump, and flush it out of the crawl space. Once we install a drain system, we then install a vapor barrier over top of the exposed soil in the crawl space to stop moisture from rising. There are more steps that can be taken to help remediate moisture in a crawlspace such as installing a dehumidifier, sealing off vents, and encapsulation as well.
